Endelea is committed to helping people, protecting the environment and benefiting the community. The fabrics are purchased in Tanzania, from small retailers in Dar es Salaam, to support the local micro-economy.
The people who collaborate with Endelea, between Italy and Tanzania, are for the most part women, with a zero gender pay gap. A fixed percentage of Endelea’s revenues is reinvested in the training provided in Tanzania: scholarships were sponsored, workshops were organized and a 5-year partnership was signed with the University of Dar es Salaam to organize a cycle of video lessons, involving industry professionals.
Endelea’s dream is to be able to bring high-level skills to this country, not only in fashion design, but also in business, so that young entrepreneurs can train to employ more and more people and generate the birth of a true local fashion industry.
As for the environment, Endelea focuses attention on the theme of materials, which is maximum when it is possible to check their origin, as in the winter collection in quilted wax, for which a fiber obtained from the recycling of bottles was used.
