Giuseppe Barbera is full professor of tree crops at the University of Palermo. He deals with Mediterranean trees and landscapes. For FAI he oversaw the recovery of the Kolymbetra in the Valley of the Temples and the Donnafugata garden on the island of Pantelleria. He is an honorary member of AIAPP. Among his books, Tuttifrutti, Journey through the Mediterranean trees between science and literature, (Oscar Mondadori), Premio Hanbury Gardens, Grinzane Cavour 2007 and Abbracciare trees.
