The ISVAM Study Center, a non-profit association, communicates with Italian and foreign research centers and universities in order to offer them projects, materials and editorial and educational supports aimed at protecting and enhancing the environment.
Among his projects is the establishment of an innovative Marine Protected Area under the coast of the Zingaro reserve, between San Vito Lo Capo and Castellammare del Golfo, in Sicily. The project is called “AMP Zingaro-Scopello” and was launched with a crowdfunding campaign last summer with the aim of preserving water quality and marine biodiversity, but also the concrete possibility of combining environmental protection and development of a sustainable and circular “blue economy” within the Zingaro reserve.
