Luca Fiorani (degree in physics, University of Padua, Italy; PhD in laser remote sensing, EPFL, Lausanne; Switzerland, laser safety officer diploma, University of Pavia, Italy) is researcher at ENEA. PI of projects in laser monitoring of atmosphere and ocean, he is adjunct professor of physics didactics and sustainable development. Tutor of 18 thesis, 12 international fellowships and 3 postdocs, he published 86 peer-reviewed papers and more than 300 other works. He is Italian representative at PAME (Arctic Council), chairman of Remote Sensing for the Coastal Zone (EARSeL), member of the steering committee of GCCM and president of EcoOne.
