Among them Radiohead, the Pretenders, Billie Eilish, but also important and famous record labels such as Abbey Road, Warner, Universal Production Music, Virgin EMI and Warner Music UK.
Music declare Emergency comes in the form of a real declaration. A total of 4212 artists and realities signed it. The movement is currently present in Germany, Switzerland, France, Chile and Canada and aims to become a global phenomenon by carrying on the motto “No music on a dead planet”.
On the  Music Declares Emergency website you can read:
“We believe that through the power of music we can promote the cultural changes necessary to create a greener, fairer and better future”.
The statement calls on governments and the media to take concrete action to address the current climate emergency. But there is more, because all members of the sector are invited to join the movement and work together to share to bring about the cultural changes necessary for a future with zero impact.
Each artist who joined the movement, in fact, has committed, in their future works, to talk about the climate and the environmental emergency to promote the spread of a collective consciousness in support of the planet Earth.
